Timothy James knew what he wanted to be at a very early age. After picking up a guitar for the first time at the age of 6, his life's path appeared to be chosen. Singing and playing came naturally to the young Oregonian, as did composing. Over the next several years, Timothy continued to hone his craft and take every opportunity provided to expand his abilities. Timothy made music in every environment he could find including church worship team, choir, school, and private instruction.
By the age of 12, Timothy had accumulated hundreds of performances in all varieties of settings, ranging from clubs to fairs to festivals. The cumulative stage time began to show and Timothy began to get noticed by some of the best players in the region. By the time he was 16, he was playing with master musicians with national pedigrees, and holding his own.
The Timothy James Band consists of Timothy James, Timmer Blakely bass/vox (Paul Gilbert, Ry Cooder, Bo Diddley), and Chandler Bowerman drums (Five Guys Named Moe).
